Develop a Role-Playing Gaming Therapeutic Recreation Handbook of Practice?
by Hawke Robinson published Jan 16, 2013 last modified Dec 08, 2022 02:58 PM — filed under: ,
As I continue to peruse in depth the Recreation Therapy Handbook of Practice, and tracking the sections of the book that could use role-playing gaming as a treatment (see my eaarlier posting notes for example), I'm considering trying to take on the (overwhelming) task of creating an RPG specific version of the book...

Interactive Complexity Coding
by Hawke Robinson published Jun 20, 2015 last modified Feb 05, 2023 12:22 PM — filed under: ,
Where this will be accepted is still unclear, but it is something I came across during my time with Play Therapy, that seems very appropriate for Recreation Therapy / Therapeutic Recreation (RT / TR) and possibly some forms of RPG Therapy. It might only be applicable for mental health clients. I ran it by several professors, and facilities managers, and they were intrigued, but unable to provide further clarification. I welcome additional feedback from others.

TSU Paper Referenced Documents List Collection
by Hawke Robinson published Apr 01, 2016 last modified Feb 05, 2023 08:42 AM
This is a collection of materials referenced in my paper submitted to the Living Games pre-conference Texas State University (TSU) for peer review. My paper titled: "Role-Playing Games (RPG) as Intervention Modalities to Achieve Therapeutic & Educational Goals for Individuals and Groups from the Therapeutic Recreation Perspective." PLEASE NOTE IT WAS NOT ACCEPTED, INSTEAD REVISIONS WERE REQUESTED, and I did not have time at the time to incorporated the suggested feedback and resubmit. This Collection page is a TODO, that I (or one of the volunteer staff) need to get around to at some point to fill in this collection by tagging the referenced works so they show up automatically in this collection.
