I just sent the first two government representatives, on my extensive list, a form of the questionnaire about their views regarding role-playing games and gamers. Will see if they respond, and what the responses are like. The first I contacted were Washington state eastern Washington United States Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R), and United States Senator (for Washington) Patty Murray (D).

Well, it is that time of year again, the university's quarter has started back up, so in addition to my usual full time parenting, I will be heads-down focusing on coursework. This means I won't be hanging out on the social networks and such, since I only use that for community building and not for personal use...

RPG Research Essay
Many/most game master progress through a series of GM styles. There are many stereotypes and Archetypes of various kinds of Game Masters / Dungeon Masters. Some are inevitable stages of learning that new GM's are likely to go through, others are GM styles that some GM's just can't seem to stop repeating. Feel free to suggest others to include in this list. A stereotype is generally confining a person into a narrow box, while an archetype is a foundational short hand of traits that can be expanded or built upon, mixed and matched, etc.
