RPG Research Project Presenting at PNWATRA Conference January 2016 in Portland OR
The Pacific Northwest American Therapeutic Recreation Association conference posted their official presentation schedule today:
This will be taking place at the Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland Oregon, January 29th, 2016.
My session is 90 minutes (including Q&A), beginning 2:20 pm and running until 3:50 pm.
The title of my presentation is: "The Use of Role-Playing Games (RPG) as an Intervention Modality".
I am still waiting to hear back if they will allow me to record the presentation.
The research and discussion includes all forms of role-playing games, including: tabletop, live-action (LARP), computer-based, and solo (including Choose Your Own Adventure).
This presentation is a refined and updated version of my presentation from the April 2015 Washington State American Therapeutic Recreation Association Conference at Seattle Children's Hospital, previously under the lengthier title of "The Use of Role-Playing Games as an Intervention Modality to Achieve Educational and Therapeutic Goals for Individuals and Groups, from the Therapeutic Recreation Perspective."
